With less than 4,000 residents and located on Historic Route 66, St. James is home to not only our Vacuum Museum but also for our Tacony Manufacturing Plant where Simplicity and Riccar vacuum cleaners are made. So when you stop by for a tour of the Vacuum Museum make sure you ask for the deluxe tour which includes a brief viewing of the factory upstairs from the museum and meet the men and women who build the world’s best vacuum cleaners.*

Handicap Accessible
The Vacuum Museum has a large handicap parking platform conveniently located in front of an access ramp. Inside the museum there is ample room for wheelchairs, scooters and similar mobility devices as well as a handicap accessible restroom.
Handicap accessibility for the factory tour is located at the front of the manufacturing plant during factory hours of operation, Monday through Thursday, 9 AM – 4:30 PM.

- Take I-44 West to exit 195 (St. James/MO-8)
- Turn left onto Jefferson Street
- Turn left onto St. James Boulevard
- Turn left onto Springfield Road
- Turn right onto Industrial Drive
- The building will be on your left, you will see signs for the museum.
From Springfield:
- Take I-44 East to EXIT 195 (St. James/MO-8)
- Turn right onto Jefferson Street
- Turn left onto St. James Boulevard (Historic Route 66)
- Turn left onto Springfield Road
- Turn right onto Industrial Drive
